  • What You’ll Need

If you’re like me and love a rich, creamy start to your morning, you’re going to love this homemade French vanilla coffee creamer. It’s a super easy recipe with just three ingredients, and you can customize it to suit your taste or dietary preferences. Plus, no weird preservatives! I love having this on hand not just for coffee, but for other fun uses beyond coffee!

What You’ll Need

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (use fat-free for a lighter option)
  • 1 ¾ cups milk of your choice (skim for a lighter version, or whole milk/heavy cream for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (or the seeds from 1 vanilla pod for a more authentic vanilla flavor)

Instructions

In a large mason jar or mixing bowl, pour in the sweetened condensed milk and milk of your choice. Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. If you’re using a vanilla pod, split it lengthwise, scrape the seeds into the milk, and toss in the pod as well.

Whisk or shake vigorously until all the ingredients are fully combined. If you’re using a Mason jar, a secure Mason jar lid makes shaking super easy. Make sure the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.

Transfer your creamer into an airtight container (a quart-sized mason jar works great) and store it in the fridge. Before each use, give it a good shake as the sweetened condensed milk tends to settle at the bottom. This creamer should stay fresh for about 7 days.

  • Fat-free option: Use fat-free, sweetened condensed milk and skim milk to make a lighter, fat-free version.
  • Dairy-free option: Swap the dairy components for full-fat coconut milk mixed with sugar to taste. The full fat coconut milk mimics the consistency of condensed milk so it make a great option for dairy-free creamers!
  • Gift idea: Pour this homemade creamer into a cute jar, tie a ribbon around it, and give it to the coffee lover in your life.

How to Make Iced Vanilla Latte with French Vanilla Creamer

Now that you have your delicious French vanilla coffee creamer on hand, let’s talk about turning it into an indulgent iced latte. Whether you’re using coffee beans or coffee pods, this quick recipe will have you sipping a creamy, refreshing latte in no time.

What You’ll Need

  • 8-10 ounces of coffee
  • ½ cup French vanilla coffee creamer (adjust to your taste)
  • Ice

Brew Your Coffee:

If you have an espresso machine, brew 1-2 shots of espresso (depending on how strong you like it). Use your coffee measuring spoon to ensure the right amount of coffee grounds for a full-bodied flavor.

Fill a tall glass or a coffee mug with ice. This will help chill the coffee and create that refreshing iced latte vibe. Pour the coffee over the ice. Now pour ½ cup of French vanilla coffee creamer into your glass. Feel free to adjust the amount based on how creamy and sweet you want your latte to be.

Pro Tips

For extra creaminess, swap out regular milk in the creamer for half-and-half or heavy cream.

If you love cold brew, you can pour the creamer directly into the cold brew for a super smooth, vanilla-flavored iced coffee.

Give it a good stir so the coffee and creamer mix well together, and voilà! You’ve got yourself a delicious iced vanilla latte. If you’re feeling fancy, you can top it off with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or Dutch cocoa powder.
