What is Pumpkin Spice, Anyway?

There’s something undeniably comforting about the flavors of fall. The combination of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice creates that quintessential pumpkin spice aroma that fills coffee shops every autumn. But why wait for the seasonal offerings at your local café when you can recreate that magic at home?

By making your own pumpkin spice blend, you not only ensure freshness but also have the flexibility to adjust the spices to your liking. If you prefer using coffee pods or freshly ground coffee beans (I recommend grinding them with a quality coffee grinder for the freshest flavor), this creamer will complement your brew perfectly.

Step 2: Stir in the 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree. Whisk until the puree is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

Step 3: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup

Step 4: Now add 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice.

Step 5: And then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 

Step 6: If using a pinch of sea salt, add it now. Whisk thoroughly to combine all the flavors.

Let the creamer cool for a few minutes. Pour it into an airtight container or a Mason jar with a quality jar lid. Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator.
